CISE is shaping the future of STEM Education!  Since 2015, CISE has engaged over 20,000 K-12 students and prepared and trained thousands of pre-service and in-service teachers, parents, and community members. CISE was designed to bring STEM to the forefront of K-16 education through leadership and service.

About the Position
Join our dynamic team as a STEM Instructional Specialist! In this role, you'll collaborate with our Technology 4 Every 1 Coordinator to lead engaging STEAM programs both on and off campus. You will have the opportunity to train teachers, students, and community members in exciting fabrication technologies like 3D printing, coding, and vinyl cutting ((New staff will be trained in the use of both Apple and Fabrication Technology). This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in education while developing innovative curricula that inspire curiosity and creativity.

Position Information

Employment at Toro Auxiliary Partners is on an at-will basis. It can be terminated by either an employee or Toro Auxiliary Partners at any time with or without cause or advanced notice. Permanent status can neither be obtained nor granted. This position is full-time, salary-exempt, benefited, plus employer-sponsored health, dental, vision, life insurance, retirement, and sick/vacation pay.

This is a full-time, benefited, onsite position.

Annual Salary: $68,640.00

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead and Inspire: Guide instruction for various STEAM programs, making learning fun and engaging for all participants.
  • Train and Support: Provide hands-on training in cutting-edge technologies and integrate them into STEAM curriculum.
  • Collaborate: Work closely with CISE team members to design activities that promote STEAM education.
  • Develop Curriculum: Co-create and co-facilitate STEAM curricula that spark interest in STEM careers among students.
  • Professional Development: Assist with designing and delivering professional development sessions that equip educators with effective STEM instructional strategies.
  • Research and Innovate: Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies to continuously enhance our STEAM programs.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Take on other duties as assigned to support our mission and initiatives.

 

Qualifications/Experience

  • A teaching credential (Multiple Subject or Single Subject) with at least 2 years of successful teaching experience.
  • A passion for working with traditionally underserved communities and helping them thrive.
  • Expertise in creating engaging, innovative STEAM lessons that cater to diverse learning needs.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to create clear, informative reports.
  • Experience with Google Suites for Education and Apple products, along with effective classroom management strategies.
  • Willingness to travel to various school sites within our service area.

Education

Required: CTC Approved Teaching Credentials and a bachelor’s degree.
