The California State University, Dominguez Hills Toro Auxiliary Partners (TAP) is a non-profit organization and was incorporated in 1968 as a partner of the California State University, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH) to provide supplemental services that enhance core academic programs, which are an integral part of the University's educational mission. CSUDH is a highly diverse, metropolitan university primarily serving the South Bay area of Los Angeles County. CSUDH is one of 23 campuses that comprise the California State University System.

Position Summary:
The Procurement Coordinator supports the procurement team by performing general administrative duties and ordering equipment and materials for projects. Working in this position involves organizing and making purchase orders, maintaining accurate procurement records, storing documents, solving order issues, ensuring compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
Compensation: $22.96 – $30.92 per hour

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Process Purchase Orders.
- Order TAP Office Supplies, manage inventory levels and reorder as needed.
- Establish Business Accounts with vendors such as Office Depot, Amazon, etc.
- Assist the Procurement Manager with negotiating contracts with vendors/contracted services where standard agreements cannot be used.
- Review RFQ and RFP, reviewing for completeness and necessary information to obtain competitive quotes.
- Review standard contracts and solicitations to ensure that contract language has not been altered.
- Ensure Compliance with Procurement State and Federal Regulations
- Ensure compliance with CSU General Provisions for the Acquisition of Goods.
- Create new users in vendor databases, assign roles, approvers and create buying policies
- Conduct commercial negotiations on pricing, scope of supply, terms and conditions, and logistics.
- Evaluate supplier proposals submitted in response to RFP and develop the corresponding recommendations for awards.
- Coordinate expedited services and inventory returns and refunds for non-conforming or out-of-specification material.
- Core functions include ordering goods and services, setting up new vendors in the ERP system, and customer service.
- Assist buyers in obtaining quotes and finalizing purchase requisitions on indirect materials.
- Work independently within established procedures, including coordination and resolution of problems.
- Communicate and assist internal departments and departments across campus
- Manage Records Retention Database.
- Oversee student assistants for project-based activities such as scanning documents to reduce paper storage.
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications and Education:
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field. (Preferred)
• At least two years of administrative support
• Experience in higher education environment preferred

• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Ability to function effectively under tight deadlines and high volume.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks/requests/assignments and manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to utilize computerized systems – excel, word processing, e-mail, internet, etc.
• Ability to maintain a detail-oriented workload.
• Effective communication skills (written and verbal).
• Excellent customer service.
• Experience using Finance Enterprise
• Experience using Word, Excel, and Adobe Sign
